Creative Folding Formats
Harty gives you a wide variety of folding options from miniature to map folding. State of the art MBO and Stahl folders provide the most exacting quality tolerances in the industry today. The bindery has the widest quality tolerances in print production. In prepress tolerances are within .0005” 1/2 of 1/thousandth of an inch, on press the tolerances are .003” 3/thousandths of an inch, but in the bindery they can be as high as + or -.03” 3/hundreths of an inch. Harty overcomes these tolerances with diligent preplanning and highly skilled folding personnel. Our project managers begin with the end in mind, working backwards from the needs of the folding and finishing requirements. If a job is folded accurately, it ensure the quality of subsequent operations like collating, mailing, saddle stitching, perfect binding and Wire-O binding.
Harty’s high speeds folding equipment can handle press sheets up to 28” x 40” and allows us to fold 32 page signatures including gate and double-gate folds. Harty offers you folding versatility that frees your design team to create folding formats including letter fold, roll fold, gate fold, double-gate fold, right angle fold, parallel fold, barrel fold, soft fold and in-line scoring and perforating.
